Effects of aspirin for primary prevention in persons with diabetes mellitus - The New England Journal of Medicine - 2018
Brief Summary:
In patients with well controlled diabetes (HbA1c < 8 in ~51% of patients), at 7.4 years primary prevention aspirin use was associated with a 1.1% absolute reduction in serious vascular events. Aspirin use was also associated with a 0.9% absolute increase in major bleeding.
