In patients with symptomatic, severe aortic stenosis who are low-risk surgical candidates, TAVR was associated with a 6.6% absolute reduction in death, stroke, or re-hospitalization at 1 year when compared to SAVR. The superiority of TAVR was driven by symmetric reductions in each component of the primary endpoint, including a 1.5% absolute reduction in overall mortality.Reference:
